We don’t like to brag, but we think we are pretty good at what we do, and to have been around for more than thirty-five years,  so our members, customers and stakeholders must agree!

With such an exemplary pedigree, we really are “Your Go to Place for Everything TEI”! We support workers, managers and organisation align their service delivery to the TEI requirements, including the professional development of workers, coaching & mentoring for Managers, developing Program Logics, DEX training, Policies & Procedures, Governance and more! More recently, we expanded our delivery mode to include online workshops, eLearning courses and webinars. ‘LEAD Online’ has enabled us to expand our reach and availability, especially to smaller service providers and specialist organisations throughout NSW.

Unlike other Training organisations, we don’t just publish an annual calendar of events and hope that someone will turn up. Our service delivery model starts with YOU! Locally, LEAD is proactively engaged through interagency meetings, sector forums, community evaluations, council meetings, funding body information sessions and focus groups to ascertain what the new and emerging needs are for the TEI sector.  Once identified, we then source subject matter experts and co-design a workshop/seminar/forum that will provide relevant, accessible and cost-effective professional development that is evidence-based, and outcomes focused. This model ensures that we remain at the forefront of innovation and able to bring you the latest in new and emerging research and evidence-based frameworks that will empower you to support the vulnerable children, youth, families you work with to achieve their outcomes.

We are proud of our long-standing relationship with The Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), who are our major funder. We have recently been awarded a five-year contract through DCJ’s Western Sydney Nepean Blue Mountains District. LEAD was a significant contributor to our District’s Priority Group planning through Working Groups and Reference Groups.

For over thirty-five years LEAD Professional Development has been providing ‘cutting edge’ learning opportunities for staff in the Family Support and Community Services sectors. The implementation of the Department of Communities and Justice’s Targeted Earlier Intervention (TEI) has seen an increase in demand for other services. To meet this demand LEAD has developed a broad collection of professional development opportunities in many topics and formats, tools, content and practical resources and services that will assist Service Providers to meet their DCJ TEI contract requirements, regardless of where your organisation is based throughout NSW.

The WSNBM District have been developing a framework that supports local self-determination and is representative of local needs. The ‘Aboriginal Workforce Development Program’ will be supported through a partnership between Blacktown City Council and LEAD Professional Development to facilitate a comprehensive approach to improving outcomes for Aboriginal people who access DCJ funded services in our District.

In collaboration with other stakeholders, we played a substantial role in the development and roll-out of The Linker Network, an integrated service delivery model that places people at the core of how services are delivered. LEAD has been contracted by DCJ to continue to be part the key supporting framework for The Linker Network as it expands and develops collaborative practice forums and working groups.
