LEAD Professional Development Association Incorporated is a not for profit, non-government association dedicated to providing Professional Development and Training opportunities to people supporting families in Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.

For over thirty years we have been providing dynamic, cost effective and local workshops, seminars, forums, conferences and training sessions across a wide range of topics and issues that are current to the needs of individuals and organisations working with families.

From humble beginnings in 1984 when we received our initial funding to train family workers to enable them to work more effectively with families, we have grown considerably over the years.

Through consultation with Co-Ordinator’s of Family Support Services in the Blacktown and Parramatta areas, a range of workshops were facilitated. We continue this practice today; facilitating events that are based on the needs of local family support workers.

LEAD is managed by a Board of Directors, which is formed from our memberships. The Board meets every second month, and is responsible for the overall strategic plan of our association.

Our reputation and success has been built on the delivery of high quality learning experiences that are based on best practice and the evidence base in those relevant disciplines.

We also work collaboratively with a range of organisations to build capacity throughout our sector, and strive to meet the emerging learning needs of both individuals and organisations.
